Publicising What You Do

Fundamental to the publicity process is getting you or your business into the media.

Our experience in the media recognises which medium or media will suit your needs best and covers key areas of communication such as media relations, broadcast consultancy, crisis management, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online PR, events and personal PR.

Aside from the publicity achieved for recent and current clients shown in the Branding, Marketing and PR sections, this page delves into the archives of the people and events Seadragon’s MD began promoting, and looks forward to managing similar clients’ media profiles.

Caroline’s first job after graduating was at BBC Radio Derby, producing features about the local arts and entertainment scene, as well as reviewing the latest film releases, theatre productions, exhibitions and concerts. After five short weeks, Caroline was being packed off to London to interview Hollywood’s finest and the world’s most creatively talented on a regular basis. Her first interview was with the great Frank Darabont, who was promoting the The Shawshank Redemption. Numerous other interviewees ensued, with luminaries that included Brad Pitt, Sean Connery, Richard E. Grant, Jerry Zucker, John Hannah, Saffron Burrows, Ioan Gruffudd, Nick Moran, Gabriel Byrne and so the name-dropping could go on!

A selection of Caroline’s early interview packages, film reviews and press features have been dusted off, and can be accessed using the media icons above. They include:

1. An uncut, unpackaged interview with Richard E. Grant at the Brighton Festival about his biography, With Nails – The Film Diaries of Richard E. Grant.

2. Caroline interviewed Brad Pitt and Henry Thomas for Legends of the Fall. For some unknown reason, the last half of the interview is missing. We’ll find it one day.  Listen to the first half here.

3. A film review of two children’s films, Little Big League and Far From Home.

4. A film interview package about the Oscar-nominated Little Women with interviewees director, Gillian Armstrong and actor, Gabriel Byrne.

5. A film interview package about Muriel’s Wedding, featuring interviews with Toni Collette and director, P. J. Hogan.

6. The final episode of a 4-part theatre series following the development of Richard III at the Derby Playhouse, from directing to dramaturgy, featuring a relieved director, Mark Clements, after the main actor, Russell Dixon, had to be replaced by Terence Beesley with a week to go before the show opened.
